FAQ

How can I learn more about you and your practice?

The best way to get a feel for me and what I can do for you is to schedule a consultation. Generally, the consultation will last approximately one (1) hour. In that time, I will answer each of your questions to the best of my ability and provide you with professional advice re: the status of your situation and a strategy moving forward.

What types of cases do you handle?

Often times the descriptions and labels of legal areas do not makes sense. While I have experience in advising clients in large variety of cases, my focus is on providing corporate counsel services to small business. I will invest my time to learn about your business in an effort to better advise you on the mitigation of legal risk. I will also represent you in any Litigation Matters requiring a formal appearance in court. Additionally, I will handle the following matters:

Business Litigation, Contract Litigation, Contract Review, Contract Issues, Business Formation and Organizational Issues, S-Corps, LLC’s, Partnerships, Mergers, Acquisitions, Sales, Purchases, Joint Ventures, New Hires, Employment Agreements, Restrictive Covenants, Non-Competes, Non-Solicitations, Non-Disclosure, Confidentiality, Licenses, Insurance Policies, Service Contracts, Vendor Agreements, Commercial Leases, Construction Contracts and Subcontracts, Lien and Bond Issues, Collection Matters, Consumer Disputes, Dispute Resolution, Business Succession Planning, and Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning for Business Owners and families.

If I don’t handle your particular matter, I will refer you to an attorney that does.

How much will it cost?

The short answer is …. It depends. Many situations will be billed according to my standard hourly rate. Other matters may be priced as a flat fee. Regardless of the arrangement, I will promise you that I will attempt to craft a reasonable legal solution that makes sense within your particular budget, if possible.

How do I pay you?

Depending on the nature of the case, the firm may require an advanced retainer to be applied to legal fees and costs. Our fees will be billed monthly against this retainer and you will be asked to replenish the retainer in advance on a monthly basis. Most litigation matters require some form of retainer.

All other matters are paid for by check or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover). Payment is due at or before the time of service.

You will receive a monthly invoice and/or statement detailing the description of legal services rendered. All invoices are distributed via electronic mail.

I am concerned about this situation and it is important that I receive consistent updates re: my case. How do you handle client communication?

This is the single largest complaint amongst clients re: attorney services. No communication. I guarantee that each and every phone call and email will be returned promptly, and within no more than 24 hours from the time received. Additionally, I will work with you to determine the most efficient and painless way to contact you … whether it be by phone, in person, via email or text. I am in the business of establishing long-term relationships with my clients. Effective Communication is very important to me.
